Sometimes our Sentence of the Day is about something that repulses us.Today’s sentence of the day comes from a jabroni at a Donald Trump rally.
“We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims”
Muslims are not a problem in this country. Christians are not a problem in this country. Buddhists are not a problem in this country. Jews are not a problem in this country. Atheists are not a problem in this country.
Entitled, xenophobic assholes are a problem in this country. This guy does not respect the United States of America. He does not respect the constitution. He does not respect you or me.
He worships at the altar of fear, making a daily sacrifice of reason.
His family should be ashamed of him. His country should be ashamed of him.
Again, let’s get one thing straight: Getting rid of muslims would not make this country better; getting rid of guys like this would make this country better.
Every day, The Southpaw finds a sentence that makes him think or laugh. It can come from a song, a poem, a book, a newspaper article. It’s a daily celebration of our odd – and yet beautiful – language.
