I had to take off my teacher hat and put my reporter’s cap back on. It’s a bit crusty, and maybe a bit ripe, but it’s as comfy as ever.

I love asking questions of people who know more about a topic than I do. It’s a thrill finding a new turn of phrase.
I even enjoy the editing process.
Anyway, here are some of the stories I’ve been writing for the Pennsylvania Capital-Star.
My two favorites came from my own ideas. The first one I looked at was how the COVID-19 epidemic affects minor league baseball. The second one was a look at church picnics
I also really enjoyed writing this story about NEPA residents stepping up.
What I didn’t expect was getting so much out of covering a press conference remotely, something that bores me to tears when I was a full time reporter.
Anyway, I look forward to writing some more stories.
